Retail Augmented Reality
We've been extending out our React Website Proof of Concept (Rooms) to give users the ability to select a product and see how it will look in their own home environment.
For this we've been investigating the Apple ARKit to provide an augmented reality view of a product as a 3D model. We've started small with a simple 3D model of a red chair and we've been figuring out what a simple user journey would look like:
We imagine a red chair in the product selection above. When the user clicks the chair the Room app on their IOS device is automatically fired up and they can place the chair into their environment to get a great sense of how this will look in the real world:
